How to plan a one-room apartment for a family with a baby
The main redevelopment of a one-room apartment touched the balcony, which was turned into an office, and a bathroom, the non-standard shape of which had to be beaten without losing space.
The simplest solution for the layout of one-room apartments is to combine two rooms into a common studio space. However, in this case it turned out to be inappropriate. When the family has a baby, it is important to have separate rooms. After all, then each family member can calmly go about their business, without disturbing others. Therefore, the designer Natalia Poplavskaya had to look for other ways to create a spacious interior.
The redevelopment mainly affected the balcony. It was attached and insulated, organizing a comfortable workplace there, which was curtained with thick curtains. In the living room, which is also a bedroom for the whole family, only the most necessary furniture was placed: a folding sofa, a cot, a large built-in wardrobe and light hanging shelves with a TV.
Small rooms are usually made light. Here, on the contrary, the designer was not afraid to fill the interior with color. The wall behind the sofa is covered with wallpaper with bright purple and purple stripes, which direct our eyes to the window and visually enlarge the room. The built-in wardrobe doors are deep crimson. Light furniture, milky white, hanging shelves and faded rose wallpaper, which were chosen for the two remaining walls, add lightness to the interior.
To hide from prying eyes from the house opposite, the windows were decorated with thick curtains. The intricate line of the ceiling hides an equally intricate system of recessed lights that illuminate the entire perimeter of the room. An elegant chandelier with falling glass drops hangs in the center. Hanging shelves by the TV and plasterboard niches by the window are also illuminated. Both can be used as a dim light source.
The main advantage of this one-room apartment is that it does not need any additional decoration. The rich color of the walls, the strict geometric patterns of the ceiling and wallpaper, and graceful additions in the form of lamps are very decorative in themselves.
